Franklin Graham, Son of Billy Graham, at California Megachurch: "Abortion is Murder"

Franklin Graham, the son of evangelical leader Billy Graham, stated that "abortion is murder" while preaching on Sunday evening at the Harvest Christian Fellowship megachurch of Southern California evangelist Greg Laurie.
Graham opened his remarks by telling his audience that “we’ve been crippled by sin," echoing his father's statement that "the spiritual condition of man is at the root of the abortion issue. ... It is sin that produces the problem of most unwanted pregnancies, as well as the misbelief that women have a "right" to take the lives of unborn babies."

After considering a variety of sinful behavior, from lying and stealing to bearing false witness, Graham zeroed in on the sin of murder and emphasized that abortion is a form of murder.

“You say, ‘Well come on, Franklin. This is California. We’re kind of a liberal state, but they’ll still put you in jail for murder around here.’ No, they don’t,” Graham said, "not for the murder of abortion."
